Vincent (20): “I've been a fanatical baseball player for years. It's a great sport, but wearing contact lenses was really a nuisance at times. Once I even got sent off because I spent too much time trying to get something out of my eye. At that time I was already toying with the idea of having my eyes treated. This summer I finally decided to go for it. I was on holiday with my sister in Africa and noticed how easy her ARTISAN Lenses were for her. No messing about with lens fluids, straight to bed after cleaning her teeth.

 

I wasn't eligible for laser treatment because my cornea is too thin. But fortunately it was just about possible for me to have an ARTIFLEX lens implanted, even though my pupils are slightly on the large side.

As a Life Sciences student I was especially interested in the treatment. I just went with the flow, without getting nervous or anything. A few days after the treatment on my second eye I could see perfectly. The final result was 0 and 0.25. A superb score! Now I can really look forward to the next baseball season. It'll be absolutely sensational to play without contact lenses.”
